It’s almost the start of a new year, 2025. Here’s what the year ahead looks like the Sunday before….

First, we expect to implement our name change to Ketterer, Browne & Davani, LLC.  Second, we will have our entire new tech stack – new hardware and software programs – in place and helping better serve our clients, referral partners, and staff. Additionally, here are some bold predictions for 2025.

KBA will win more nursing home abuse trials and single-event cases

Reza Davani and the nursing home team – Associate trial lawyers Lauren Henry and Chris Somerville, paralegals Lisa Fisher and Kristina Pfeifer, legal specialists, Angela Bonavita and Director and Client and Referral Relations John Paul – are gearing up. With trials every month, they are ready to get justice in the next nursing home bedsore or nursing home fall case.

Predictions:

Eight-figure nursing home trial verdict before the end of 2025.

Dozens of families helped through the tragedy of nursing home abuse.

The team expands with a trial teed up for 2026 outside the DMV area.

The KBA products liability lawyer team joins with the trucking accident lawyer team to resolve downs of cases

With lawyers licensed in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Texas, KBA has several partners running impressive legal teams. We expect our North Carolina office to pick up this year with North Carolina nursing home abuse lawyer needs increasing, trucking accident attorney assistance peeking, and product liability lawyer opportunities as well. Our Florida personal injury office is expected to boom as the product liability lawyer takes on more individual cases. With Massachusetts joining the KBA landscape, our motor vehicle practice will multiply.

Predictions:

  1. KBA resolves dozens of MVC cases in MD, MA  DC, NC, and PA
  2. A new internal high for a trucking accident settlement
  3. Electric scooter cases resolve and shift to online retailers selling defective e-scooters
  4. More product liability lawsuits from Amazon product injuries and other product injuries from online sites

The KBA institutional sex abuse lawyer team will resolve millions in claims and start dozens of sex abuse lawsuits

With systemic changes made at KBA, new leadership, and a strong new sex abuse attorney, we except justice for our clients. Cases that have stagnated in states and slow-moving clergy abuse lawsuits will move in 2025.

Predictions:

  1. CA and other clergy abuse cases finally receive compensation
  2. Clergy abuse cases in other states will resolve
  3. KBA will pursue new institutional sex abuse lawsuits against perpetrators organizations allowed to abuse students and other minors including schools, juvenile detention centers, group homes, boarding schools, camps, sports organizations, and religious groups other than the Church

The KBA medical device attorney team and mass tort lawyers take more verdicts and fight for just compensation

KBA leads mass torts and each product liability lawyer fights for justice. Having picked several mass torts recently, including Suboxone, Ozempic, Singulair, and Depo Provera, KBA expects some legacy cases to resolve and will go to trial as necessary to get clients’ the justice they deserve.

Predictions:

  1. BioZorb lawsuits and more cases after the BioZorb recall
  2. Hernia mesh lawsuits and trials will continue despite some pay-outs in Bard
  3. A dozen TVM lawsuits filed lead to multiple TVM verdicts (may stretch into 2026)
  4. Roundup and Talc come to a close, but actual money to clients remains years off
  5. KBA initiates Accolade Pacemaker recall or PolarX recall lawsuits
  6. The Impella recall leads to more Impella device cases that ultimately resolve as the Impella heart pump corrects more
  7. KBA helps LINX device users receive compensation for removal surgeries
  8. KBA gets more involved in the social media suicide, video game addiction and other social media injury cases
  9. Impella recall leads to more Impella device cases
  10. More school and other institutional sex abuse cases
  11. Cartiva claims continue
  12. We anticipate that despite the Cartiva recall, we will see more Cartiva toe implant cases.
  13. Some RMU device cases arising out of the RMU recall
