Another baby lounger recall, the Style Life Eleven.

Wayfair Recalls Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers Due to Suffocation and Fall Hazards

On February 27, 2025, Wayfair issued a recall for the Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers due to serious safety risks, including suffocation and fall hazards. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) found that the loungers do not comply with federal safety regulations for infant sleep products. Specifically, the sleeping pad is too thick, and there is a suffocation hazard. The sides of the lounger are also too low, which could lead to a baby falling out or becoming entrapped. Additionally, the loungers do not have a stand, which increases the risk of falling. These defects create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants, leading to the recall of approximately 1,555 units.

Consumers who purchased the Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers on or after June 23, 2022, should immediately stop using the product and contact Wayfair for a full refund. Customers can contact Wayfair toll-free at 888-549-1625, via email at AdvocacyTeam@wayfair.com, or by visiting Wayfair’s recall page for more information.

Our law firm is investigating serious brain injuries, broken bones, and death cases for this product. If your family has been affected in one of these ways by this product, KBD Attorneys can help you seek justice.

What is the Style Life Eleven Baby Lounger?

The recalled Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers are portable infant loungers that include a head pillow and fold into a handbag with a carrying handle. These loungers were sold in various printed fabric designs, including Dinosaur, Blue & White Crowns, Dotted Pink, Dotted White & Purple, Zoo Animals, and Gray & Brown Crowns.

The loungers were exclusively sold online at Wayfair.com between June 2022 and September 2024, with prices ranging from $34 to $144. The recalled products were manufactured in China and sold by Bespoke Clothing Valley Inc. (Royalbelle), doing business as Zoomie Kids.

What Are the Dangers of Baby Loungers

This is just one of many concerns regarding the safety of baby loungers. Many parents purchase these products believing they are a safe and cozy place for infants to rest. However, improper design and non-compliance with federal safety standards make certain baby loungers extremely dangerous. The risks associated with these products include:

  • Suffocation Risk: If a baby’s nose or mouth becomes obstructed by the thick padding, they may not be able to breathe properly.
  • Fall Hazards: If a baby moves or rolls to the edge of a lounger, they may fall and suffer head injuries.
  • Entrapment: Poor design causes babies trapped in gaps, causing suffocation or breathing difficulties.
  • Non-Compliance with Safety Regulations: Many loungers on the market do not meet federal safety standards for infant sleep products.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) strongly advises against letting infants sleep in baby loungers. Babies should always sleep on a firm, flat surface with no soft bedding.

Other Baby Products That May Be Unsafe

This recall focuses on the Style Life Eleven Baby Loungers. It is not the first or only instance of unsafe baby products. Other dangerous products parents should be cautious of include:

  • Inclined Sleepers: Many companies recalled inclined sleepers due to the risk of suffocation and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
  • Drop-Side Cribs: These cribs have been banned due to the risk of infants becoming trapped and suffocating.
  • Defective High Chairs: Poorly designed high chairs can collapse or tip over, leading to serious injuries.
  • Unregulated Sleep Products: Some bassinets, play yards, and swings may not meet safety regulations, posing suffocation or strangulation risks.

At KBD Attorneys, we do our best to inform consumers of the dangerous or recalled baby products. However, parents should always check for recalls themselves before purchasing baby products and follow the safest sleep guidelines recommended by pediatric experts.
