Recall of Nezmdi Infant Swings Due to Suffocation Risk
Recall of Nezmdi Infant Swings Due to Suffocation Risk
On May 22, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of Nezmdi-branded electric infant swings. These swings were sold exclusively on Amazon.com and pose a suffocation hazard to infants. KBD Attorneys is urging families to stop using these swings immediately.
Why the Nezmdi Infant Swings Recall?
The CPSC identified multiple serious safety issues:
- The swings were marketed for infant sleep but have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. This violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.
- The product fails to meet federal warning label requirements under the swing safety regulations.
- The included remote control contains a lithium coin battery but lacks the mandatory warning labels under Reese’s Law.
These violations make the Nezmdi swings extremely dangerous for infants. A steep incline can lead to suffocation. Missing battery warnings increase the risk of internal burns or death if a battery is swallowed.

No Incidents Reported—Yet
So far, no injuries or incidents have been reported. But the risk is real and serious. KBD Attorneys supports CPSC’s swift action to recall this product before tragedy strikes.
Other Unsafe Swings: The Queerick Infant Swing
This is not the first time dangerous infant swings have made headlines. Just a week earlier, the CPSC warned consumers about Queerick Infant Swings—also sold on Amazon and also in violation of the Safe Sleep for Babies Act and Reese’s Law.
The Queerick swings had a steep incline and lacked critical safety warnings. The seller has not agreed to a recall, making the consumer response even more urgent. You can read our full blog on the Queerick recall here.
