E-Bully Youth ATV Recall
E-Bully Youth ATV Recall
When parents purchase a vehicle for their children—whether it’s an ATV, a bike, or an e-bike—they expect it to be fun, safe, and reliable. But a recent recall of the E-Bully Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) is raising serious concerns about just how dangerous these products can be when safety standards are ignored.
At KBD Attorneys, our mission is simple: We hold dangerous companies accountable. We advocate for families hurt by unsafe products—especially those affecting children—and help them fight back through product liability law. This recall isn’t just about an ATV; it’s about systemic failures in product safety and the need for legal accountability.
What You Need to Know About the E-Bully Youth ATV Recall
On April 10, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 1,300 E-Bully Youth ATVs due to multiple serious safety violations:
-
Laceration Hazard: The handlebars can cause severe injuries if a child hits them at high speed.
-
Collision Hazard: The parking brakes fail to hold, which can result in unintended movement or crashes.
-
Regulatory Violations: These youth ATVs do not comply with mandatory federal ATV safety standards.
These electric ATVs were marketed under several names, including “Seangles” and “Offroad Mall,” and were sold in various colors like blue, green, black, red, and white. Each model carried a label stating that it was part of an “Action Plan” approved by the CPSC, giving consumers the impression that it was compliant and safe—which, as this recall proves, it was not.
They were sold between September 2023 and October 2024 for around $1,000 at major online retailers including Amazon.com, eBay.com, Seangles.com, and other websites.
While there have been no reported injuries so far, the risk is real—and the danger is avoidable.
Online Retailers Like Amazon and Product Liability
In today’s digital world, many parents turn to Amazon and other online platforms to purchase bikes, e-bikes/scooters, and even youth ATVs. These sites are convenient and often offer competitive pricing—but they are also frequently the gateway for cheaply made and poorly regulated imports from overseas manufacturers.
This case is no exception. The recalled ATVs were manufactured by Shandong ODES Industry Co. Ltd., based in China, and imported by Lil Pick Up Inc., a California-based distributor. While online retailers may not make these products, they play a critical role in distributing them to U.S. consumers.
That’s where the power of product liability law comes in.
What Is Product Liability and Why Does It Matter?
Product liability law exists to protect consumers from unsafe products. When a defective item causes harm—whether it’s a faulty ATV, a dangerous e-bike, or an unstable baby bath seat—manufacturers, importers, and sometimes retailers can all be held responsible.
At KBD Attorneys, we fight for victims of:
-
Design defects (like the unsafe handlebars on the E-Bully ATVs)
-
Manufacturing flaws
-
Failure to warn or provide adequate instructions
-
Violations of safety standards
We’ve seen how the lack of safety compliance can lead to devastating outcomes for children and families. It’s why we work so hard to ensure manufacturers are held accountable—and why we believe every child deserves safety, not shortcuts.
A Bigger Problem: Unsafe Youth Vehicles and Lax Oversight
The E-Bully recall is part of a larger trend of unsafe youth vehicles flooding the U.S. market. Over the last few years, there has been a sharp rise in recalls of:
-
Electric bikes and scooters
-
Mini motorcycles
-
Youth ATVs and ride-on vehicles
Many of these are imported from manufacturers who may not follow the strict safety and testing standards that U.S. laws require. Worse, they often appear on popular sites like Amazon or eBay, giving parents false confidence in their safety.
These aren’t isolated issues—they’re the result of systemic lapses in quality control, oversight, and enforcement.
When a Child Is Hurt, the Law Can Help
When a child is injured by a defective product, it isn’t just an accident—it may be the result of corporate negligence. If your child is harmed by a faulty product like the E-Bully ATV, you have legal rights.
KBD Attorneys has a proven track record of helping families hold companies accountable when their products cause harm. Our team of experienced product liability lawyers is ready to investigate:
-
Who made the product?
-
Who sold it to you?
-
What safety laws were violated?
-
Could this injury have been prevented?
We believe you shouldn’t have to navigate these legal questions alone. And you shouldn’t pay for someone else’s negligence.
