Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Lead Recall

In June 2026, the company told customers to return all unused Infinion CX Leads. Regulators classified the action as a Class I recall, the most serious category.

Reported issues include:

• Mechanical stress on the lead body at the anchor site
• High impedance readings or fractures in the lead
• Loss of stimulation and the pain relief it provided
• Surgery to remove or replace a failed lead
• 1,081 serious injuries reported, with no deaths

Implanted leads are not covered. Models appear in the FDA recall notice.
