New Recall: FUFU&GAGA / Ningbo Tianqi Murphy Wall Beds — Stop Using Immediately

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently issued a recall for FUFU&GAGA white wood–frame queen size Murphy wall beds (model KF210284US-01MH-A001) after identifying a serious hazard. During assembly or disassembly, the 215-pound wall-bed frame can fall if not properly anchored — posing impact, crush, and laceration hazards to consumers. Injuries Reported — Real Consequences

The recall stems not from theoretical risk, but from actual incidents. According to the recall notice:

  • One consumer suffered a laceration, a bruise, and a fractured growth plate in her finger.

  • Another sustained a facial laceration severe enough to require eight stitches.

These injuries highlight how dangerous the defect can be — heavy furniture falling from a height can cause deep cuts, fractures, and serious trauma, especially when children or other vulnerable individuals are involved.

What This Means for Injured People & Families

  • Physical harm and medical consequences — From stitches and lacerations to fractures, such injuries can lead to pain, permanent scarring, loss of mobility (especially if bones or growth plates are damaged), and long recovery times.

  • Emotional and financial stress — Injuries from a defective product often come with unexpected medical bills, missed work (or lost income), and emotional trauma — especially when children are involved.

  • Long-term liability concerns — If the bed was sold or installed without proper anchoring instructions or warning labels, there may be legal grounds for a product liability claim (design defect, improper assembly instructions, negligent sale or importation).

At a minimum: if a bed collapsed on you or a loved one, the injury isn’t “just an accident.” The risk comes from a known defect — and the manufacturer or importer may be responsible.

What You Should Do Right Now (If You Own One)

  • Immediately stop using the bed. Don’t attempt assembly, disassembly, or moving it until further notice.

  • Contact Ningbo Tianqi Electronic / FUFU&GAGA for a full refund. The recall provides for refund — the company will supply a disassembly kit to safely take down and discard the bed.

  • Do not attempt to fix it yourself. The hazard arises from the heavy 215-lb frame falling — partial fixes or makeshift anchoring may not eliminate the risk.

  • If you were injured or nearly injured — document everything. Keep medical records, photographs of injuries and the bed, proof of purchase (or delivery records), and communications with the company.

Why Recalls Like This Matter — The Broader Risk of Defective Consumer Furniture

Furniture is often assumed to be benign — but when items are heavy, wall-mounted, or built to fold/unfold, a design or manufacturing defect can turn innocuous products into dangerous hazards. This recall underscores several critical realities:

  • Heavy, foldable furniture can cause crush, impact, and laceration hazards if not properly engineered, tested, or installed.

  • Even when no injury has yet occurred, the risk remains — a seemingly stable product can become life-threatening under certain conditions (improper anchoring, assembly, or wear over time).

  • Manufacturers and importers have a duty of care — to design safe products, clearly relay installation instructions and warnings, and recall unsafe products proactively.

Consumers often trust that once an item is purchased and assembled thoroughly, it’s safe. Recalls like this remind us that trust must be earned — and safety must be verified.

Our Role — How KBD Attorneys Helps & Protects Families

At KBD Attorneys, we believe safety and accountability matter. When dangerous products slip through — and people are harmed — we stand with victims and families to demand justice.

If you or a loved one were injured by the FUFU&GAGA Murphy wall bed, or even narrowly avoided injury due to a fall or collapse:

  • You may have a product liability claim — often based on design defect, manufacturing defect, or failure to warn.

  • You could be eligible for compensation: medical bills; pain and suffering; permanent impairment (e.g. scarring, fractures affecting growth in children); lost wages; and more.

  • Even if you weren’t physically harmed — but were forced to discard the bed or can’t trust similar products — there may be economic damages or claims for property loss.

We encourage you to preserve all evidence, stop using the recalled product, and contact an attorney experienced in product-liability matters.
