EcoFlow Technology, Inc., a San Francisco-based electronics company known for its portable power solutions, has issued a nationwide recall of approximately 25,030 EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 Power Stations after reports of the devices overheating and catching fire.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), at least six incidents of fires have been reported, causing more than $850,000 in property damage. The agency warns that continued use of the recalled power stations poses a serious burn injury and fire risk.

Products Affected

The recall involves EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 Model EFD310 Power Stations, which were sold online at Costco.com, Amazon.com, and EcoFlow.com from July 2022 through May 2025 for around $1,600.

The recalled units are black and silver, featuring a rectangular LCD display on the front and six electrical outlets on the back. The words “ECOFLOW MAX” are printed on the right side, and “EFD310” and “EcoFlow DELTA Max (2000)” appear on the nameplate located on the underside of the product.

All affected units were manufactured in China.

Risk and Reported Incidents

The defect involves overheating, which may lead to ignition or fire. While there are no reports of injury so far, the potential for severe burns or property loss makes this recall especially urgent.

Consumer Safety Reminder

Lithium-ion batteries and high-capacity portable power products have become increasingly common — and increasingly prone to safety recalls. Overheating and fire risks often arise from battery management system flaws, defective components, or firmware errors that allow unsafe charging conditions.

It is often exciting purchasing new electronic products, however, consumers should always register new electronic products for recall notifications and follow all manufacturer updates.
